What causes the water hardness?
|

The water hardness is the amount of calcium and magnesium compounds dissolved in water. These compounds cause scale in boiler and piping systems.
|
|
Scal accumulation reduces heat transfer and boiler output and results in breakdown. In order to prevent boiler scale, the feed water is to be softened.
|
|
|
|
Water treatment systems prevent the boiler from above mentioned occurances. The hardening formers – calcium and magnesium ions- are replaced by sodium ions.
